About Temple Health - Chestnut Hill Hospital

Here for You

Temple Health - Chestnut Hill Hospital is committed to providing our community with the highest quality healthcare. As part of Temple Health, we connect you with the advanced services of a trusted university health system, while providing compassionate care close to your home.

With more than 350 board-certified physicians, Temple Health - Chestnut Hill Hospital is a 148-bed community-based inpatient and outpatient facility offering diagnostic and treatment services, including emergency care, minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic-assisted surgery, cardiology, gynecology, oncology, and orthopedics, primary care practices, two Women's Centers, and an off-site physical therapy center. Together with Temple Health – and through our alliance with Redeemer Health and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) – we are strengthening our community’s access to important healthcare services and world-class academic care.

Chestnut Hill Hospital has served our community for more than 100 years, and with Temple Health, and its Alliance members,  we continue to serve as a premier community resource. We remain a freestanding, licensed acute care hospital under a not-for-profit owned and controlled by the alliance, with commitment to patient care as our top priority.

An Alliance of Temple Health, Redeemer Health and PCOM

This cooperative relationship strengthens our community hospital while bringing additional expertise, networks and academic support to our employees, physicians and patients.

Temple Health brings clinical expertise in dozens of high-acuity services, and proven experience in operational efficiencies across campuses.

Redeemer Health brings expertise in women’s health and post-acute care, including skilled nursing, transitional, home, and hospice care. In addition, Redeemer will collaborate and share population health capabilities with the physicians and provider networks associated with Chestnut Hill and the communities served today and in the future. Chestnut Hill physicians have joined Redeemer’s ACO, the Community Care Collaborative (CCC), to provide coordinated high-quality care to Medicare patients.

PCOM adds to the experiential learning environment, including clinical rotations and established residency programs in Internal Medicine, Surgery and the Transitional Year at Chestnut Hill Hospital.
