The Temple Burn Center is now using virtual reality headsets to help patients through the recovery process and help ease their physical and emotional distress. The headsets were purchased with a grant from former Philadelphia Flyers player Brandon Manning. Philly Voice covered the news and its story included Lisa Rae, MD, FACS, Associate Professor of Surgery at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and Director of the Temple Burn Center, and Stephanie Velez, PT, a Physical Therapist with the Burn Center.
