Michael A. Pontari, MD, Professor and Vice-Chair of the Department of Urology at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, received the August 2024 Temple Faculty Physicians (TFP) Physician Kudos Award. Dr. Pontari was nominated by his colleague Jack H. Mydlo, MD, MBA, FACS, Chair of the Department of Urology, who wrote:
“Dr. Pontari is known nationally and internationally for his work on urologic infections and neuro-urology. He has given many American Urological Association lectures and moderated multiple conferences on a local, regional, and national level. His bedside manner is excellent, and he has rave reviews from patients, their families, and staff alike. He has been the Vice-Chair of Urology for many years, and has been instrumental in helping me run the department.”
