George Smith, Senior Manager of Environmental Services (EVS), was recently honored with the Service Excellence Manager of the Quarter Award at TUH-Main Campus. Smith was singled out for his leadership skills, his positive attitude and professionalism, and his solution-oriented approach. “George exemplifies all aspects of service excellence. He follows through with any and all tasks, both promptly and with professionalism. He interacts with his team in a manner that inspires them to excel, while not shying away from the crucial conversations necessary in leadership. He exhibits a positive attitude when faced with a gap in service, and, following the resolution of the issue, he is prompt in developing a solution to mitigate a recurrence. He enlists the expertise of his other colleagues and will take advice and suggestions from his entire team. George is a leader who has significant knowledge of his field, combined with great people skills. He solicits input in areas where he might not be an expert, and even in those areas where he is. George has been an awesome addition to the EVS leadership team!”
