The Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University held its annual White Coat Ceremony on Aug. 6, presenting the medical students in the Class of 2025 with the white coats they will wear during their medical education. Each member of the Class of 2025 also received Butterfly iQ+ ultrasound devices, along with Temple-branded stethoscopes, at the ceremony. The handheld, portable ultrasound devices were made possible through a generous donation by Ronald Salvitti, MD ’63. The gift is the first of its kind for medical students in Philadelphia and on the East Coast. 6ABC provided coverage of the event.
