Temple University Hospital and the Gift of Life Donor Program partnered for an event in honor of National Donate Life Month. The celebration featured a flag-raising to salute the generosity and courage of organ donors and their families and increase awareness about the importance of organ donation, personal stories of the life-saving power of donation from an organ transplant recipient, and poignant correspondence from a recipient to a donor family member. Joseph DiMartino, RN, MSN, NE-BC, CCRN-K, Associate Vice President of Nursing at TUH, was among those who delivered remarks. 6ABC attended the event.
