Abstracts by Temple University Hospital and Jeanes Hospital Colleagues to Be Published in American Journal of Medical Quality

Abstracts from Temple University Hospital (TUH) and Jeanes Hospital leaders that were presented at the Vizient Clinical Connections Summit in October 2018 will be part of the May/June edition of the American Journal of Medical Quality. Cassandra A. Cuesta, MHA, CPXP, Senior Manager of Patient Experience at TUH, and Roxana E. Taveira, MHSA, Administrative Director of the Oncology Service Line at TUH, focused on patient experience and staff engagement at Fox Chase Cancer Center at Temple University Hospital. Rebecca Armbruster, DO, MS, FACOI, Chief Medical Officer of Jeanes; Kristen Smith, MPP, BA, Performance Improvement Coordinator at Jeanes; and Catherine Huck, MS, BSMT, CIC, Director of Performance Improvement and Infection Control at Jeanes, examined sepsis mortality rates. Katharine Corbett, MBA, BSN, RN, Director of Care Management at Jeanes; Cecilia McGinley, BSN, RN, Transitional Care Coordinator at Jeanes; Kristen Smith; and Dr. Armbruster also analyzed emergency department visits, admissions and readmissions.
