UnitedHealthcare has terminated its provider contract with Temple University Health System for its Medicaid managed care plan after a new deal could not be reached by February 1st. Temple accepted UnitedHealthcare’s termination letter for the insurance company’s Medicaid product, a move Temple Health had to make to ensure it is able to continue to provide patients the high-quality services that its patients and community expect from Temple Health. Temple providers are in-network for a number of other plans, including Independence’s Keystone First and Health Partners Plans, and UPMC for You, and Temple is focused on ensuring a smooth transition of care for the patients and families impacted by UnitedHealthcare’s decision.
