CNBNews previewed the Temple Lung Center’s upcoming COPD education event and screening of the film “Remembering Leonard Nimoy,” which is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 4, at the Hilton Philadelphia City Avenue beginning at 3 p.m. The Lung Center is collaborating with the Nimoy Foundation to hold the free event, which is open to the public. Leonard Nimoy, best known for his portrayal of the character Mr. Spock in the “Star Trek” TV and film series, was diagnosed with COPD in 2013 and dedicated the remaining years of his life to increasing awareness of the condition. The film chronicles his life, including his diagnosis and his last days.
