New research at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University shows the BASHIR™ Endovascular Catheter (THROMBOLEX, Inc.), already shown to be effective for reducing blockages in lung arteries, also reduces blockages in the smaller segmental pulmonary artery branches. The findings are described in JACC: Advances. Riyaz Bashir, MD, FACC, Director of Vascular and Endovascular Medicine at Temple University Hospital, is the co-inventor of the catheter and first author on the new report.
