Temple University Health System’s preparations for and treatment of patients amidst the coronavirus pandemic continue to be part of the media’s COVID-19 coverage.

  • Margot Savoy, MD, MPH, Chair and Associate Professor of Family and Community Medicine at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, spoke with Discover magazine for an article about how to help children and adults who are afraid of needles be more comfortable receiving vaccines.
  • Daniel A. Salerno, MD, MS, Associate Professor of Thoracic Medicine and Surgery at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and Director of Critical Care Services in the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit at Temple University Hospital, joined Telemundo62 and was featured in two segments, one in which he discussed the rise in COVID-19 hospitalizations among Hispanic patients and the other in which he discussed the importance of measures such as social distancing and wearing a mask as well as the promise of the COVID-19 vaccines and the monoclonal antibody infusion clinic at Temple.
