Temple University Health System’s preparations for and treatment of patients amidst the coronavirus pandemic continue to be part of the media’s COVID-19 coverage.

  • A Forbes article on “five ways employers can address pandemic-related anxiety” highlighted Temple University Health System’s decision to become one of the first adopters of Accolade’s Mental Health Integrated Care solution for its employees. In the fall of 2020, Accolade, a personalized health and benefits solution for employers, health plans, and their members, announced a partnership with Ginger on a program that would integrate mental and physical health care and offer expanded access to on-demand mental health coaching, virtual therapy, and virtual psychiatry, among other elements.
  • WFMZ highlighted Delana Wardlaw, MD, who practices at Temple Physicians, Inc. at Nicetown, and her identical twin sister Dr. Elana McDonald in a TV segment that showcased their Philadelphia background, mission to address health disparities and work during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Shruti Gujaran, MD, a first-year emergency medicine resident at Temple University Hospital, penned an op-ed for the Baltimore Sun advocating for flu shot requirements similar to the COVID vaccine mandates that have been implemented.
