Abhijit Pathak, MD, MS, FACS, Professor of Surgery at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and Medical Director of the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Temple University Hospital, offered insight to Reuters Health on treatment for adults with uncomplicated acute appendicitis after JAMA Surgery published a research letter about a prespecified secondary analysis of the Appendicitis Acuta (APPAC) II randomized clinical trial.
