Amy E. Iwamaye, MD, a Fellow in the Section of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at Temple University Hospital, was interviewed by Endocrine Today about findings that were presented at the Endocrine Society Annual Meeting. Dr. Iwamaye and colleagues examined medical records of adults over 40 with a body mass index (BMI) above a certain number and found that minimal-trauma fractures in the lower leg, forearm and upper shoulder were the most prevalent.
