Cherie P. Erkmen, MD, Professor of Thoracic Medicine and Surgery and Professor in the Center for Asian Health at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and Director of the Thoracic Surgery Residency Program and Lung Cancer Screening Program at Temple University Hospital, joined a Philadelphia Inquirer live panel to discuss “Cancer Care for All.” The panel discussed the effect the COVID-19 pandemic has had on screenings, care and clinical trials, particularly for communities who already face health disparities. Dr. Erkmen focused on lung cancer, emphasizing the importance of lung cancer screenings.
