Domenico Praticò, MD, Scott Richards North Star Charitable Foundation Chair for Alzheimer’s Research, Professor in the Departments of Pharmacology and Microbiology, and Director of the Alzheimer’s Center at Temple (ACT) at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, joined KYW Newsradio to discuss a new $3.8 million grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Health that will allow researchers at the ACT an opportunity to explore cardiovascular risk factors in Alzheimer’s disease. Dr. Practicò will co-lead the basic research components of the project with Silvia Fossati, PhD, Associate Professor of Pharmacology and Associate Director of the ACT.
