J. Milo Sewards, MD, Chair of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, joined FOX29’s “Good Day Philadelphia” to discuss a new study from the American Academy of Pediatrics on overuse injuries, overtraining and burnout in young athletes. The study cited that 70 percent of youth athletes choose to stop participating in organized sports by the age of 13. Dr. Sewards was not involved with the study.
