Jason Gallagher, PharmD, FCCP, FIDP, FIDSA, BCPS, Clinical Professor and Director of the Postgraduate Year Two Infectious Diseases Residency at the Temple University School of Pharmacy and Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Infectious Diseases at Temple University Hospital, spoke with Kaiser Health News about his decision to get an mRNA booster shot after receiving the one-shot Johnson & Johnson coronavirus vaccine. Dr. Gallagher explained that at the time he received the booster shot, his decision was based on concerns about the delta variant. Johnson & Johnson has since released data about its vaccine in relation to the variant, though the studies have not yet been peer reviewed. Modern Healthcare picked up the Kaiser Health News report.
