Dr. Joseph Torg Establishes Scholarship Fund at LKSOM

Joseph Torg, MD, Professor Emeritus at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University (LKSOM), graduate of LKSOM and longtime influential orthopaedic surgeon and sports medicine physician at Temple University Hospital, and his wife Barbara Torg, established the Joe Torg Scholarship Fund at LKSOM. The gift will underwrite full-tuition scholarships for bright medical students with financial need who attended public, private or parochial schools in Philadelphia – students with backgrounds similar to Torg’s. Becker’s Spine Review and Temple Now covered the gift.
