Juan Lucas Poggio, MD, Professor of Surgery and Division Chief of Colorectal Surgery at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and System Chief of Colorectal Surgery at Temple University Health System, spoke with NBC10 about Pope Francis’ recent surgery. The pope underwent a hernia repair in his abdominal wall two years after he had part of his colon removed. Dr. Poggio has not been involved in the pope’s case or treatment.
