Dr. Margot Savoy Provides Perspective to Healio Primary Care about Study on De-intensifying Treatment and Testing for Chronic Conditions

Margot Savoy, MD, MPH, Chair and Associate Professor of Family and Community Medicine at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, shared her perspective with Healio Primary Care about a study published in JAMA Internal Medicine on guidelines for scaling back, or de-intensifying, treatment and testing for patients with chronic conditions when evidence changes or the benefits no longer outweigh the risks. Dr. Savoy was not involved in the JAMA Internal Medicine study.
