Margot Savoy, MD, MPH, FAAFP, Adjunct Associate Professor of Family and Community Medicine and Associate Professor of Urban Bioethics and Population Health at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, provided perspective to Healio Primary Care on findings published in the Annals of Internal Medicine that showed many Medicare beneficiaries missed opportunities to receive the flu vaccine during the 2018-2019 season. Dr. Savoy discussed the challenges that are present, both logistically and in dispelling myths, in convincing patients to receive the flu vaccine. Dr. Savoy was not involved in the Annals of Internal Medicine study.
