Maria Elena Vega-Sanchez, MD, Associate Professor of Thoracic Medicine and Surgery and Interim Program Director of the Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, joined 6ABC to discuss the recent recall of certain BiPAP, CPAP and ventilator machines manufactured by Philips Respironics. The devices are used to treat sleep apnea and respiratory failure. Dr. Vega-Sanchez shared that patients should not stop using their devices until they speak with their physicians.
