Paul M. Katz, MD, Interim Chair of Neurology and Professor of Neurology at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, and Nathalia Figueiredo, MD, a second-year neurology resident formerly with Hahnemann University Hospital who matched with Temple, spoke with Neurology Today about the effect of the hospital’s closure on residents and patients. Temple accepted six neurology residents from Hahnemann, and Dr. Katz said the institution hopes to permanently expand the neurology residency program.
