Victor Kim, MD, Professor of Thoracic Medicine and Surgery at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and Director of the Pulmonary Outpatient Clinic at Temple University Hospital, treated the first patient at the Temple Lung Center using RheOx, a new bronchoscopic method for treating chronic bronchitis, the most common subtype of COPD. RheOx, developed by Gala Therapeutics, is currently undergoing an early feasibility study and Temple is participating in the clinical trial.
