The new virtual screening tool, known as the Virtual Echocardiography Screening Tool (VEST), makes use of initial data from echocardiography, which captures images of the heart, and accurately and remotely diagnoses pulmonary hypertension based on a simple analysis of multiple echocardiogram features – a major advance in virtual patient care, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Vaidya is the lead author on the study about VEST published online in the journal Pulmonary Circulation.
