Amy J. Goldberg, MD, FACS, Interim Dean and George S. Peters, MD and Louise C. Peters Chair and Professor of Surgery at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and Surgeon-in-Chief of Temple Health, participated in a Q&A with the College of Physicians of Philadelphia. Dr. Goldberg discussed gun violence in the city. The conversation touched on topics including: a tweet she sent on New Year’s Day lamenting gun violence and subsequent interview with the Philadelphia Inquirer; the programs she’s developed with Scott Charles, Trauma Outreach Manager at Temple University Hospital; and bridging the expertise from TUH with that of colleagues at the Katz School of Medicine, such as Kathleen Reeves, MD, Chair and Professor of Urban Bioethics and Population Science, Director and Professor of the Center for Urban Bioethics and Professor of Clinical Pediatrics, and Marla Davis-Bellamy, Philadelphia Ceasefire.
