Tomasz Skorski, MD, PhD, DSc, Professor of Microbiology and Immunology and Associate Professor at the Fels Institute for Cancer Research and Molecular Biology at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, is a senior investigator on a new study published online in the journal Cell Reports. The study, which involves researchers at multiple institutions in the United States and abroad, is the first to show that resistance to PARP inhibitors in leukemia can be overcome by combining PARP inhibition with blockade of TGFßR kinase activation.
