Walter J. Koch, PhD, the William Wikoff Smith Endowed Chair in Cardiovascular Medicine, Professor and Chair of the Department of Pharmacology, and Director of the Center for Translational Medicine at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, was senior investigator on a team whose research provided evidence of communication between heart and fat tissue regulated by the enzyme G protein-coupled receptor kinase 2 (GRK2). The findings were published online in the journal JCI Insight and picked up for coverage by Scienmag, Bioengineer.org, Medical Xpress and News-Medical.net, among others.
