MedPage Today highlighted a recent retrospective case-control study by Adriana Facchiano, a student at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, and colleagues that was presented at the American College for Obstetricians and Gynecologists virtual meeting. The study obtained information about live births in the United States between 2016 and 2018 using the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Natality database and found that assisted reproductive technologies (ART) were associated with an increased risk of eclampsia during pregnancy.
