Parth Rali, MD, FCCP, Associate Professor of Thoracic Medicine and Surgery at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, joined a debate session at the European Respiratory Society (ERS) 2024 Congress in Vienna, Austria, to discuss controversies surrounding the optimal course of treatment for high-risk pulmonary embolism. Medscape highlighted the session, in which Dr. Rali made the case for using mechanical treatments such as catheter-directed therapies and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).
