Project HOME announced the groundbreaking of its newest affordable housing residence on Temple University Hospital’s Episcopal Campus on Monday, November 15th. In partnership with the Philadelphia Housing Authority and final support of MPOWER and the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation, the facility will include 62 long-term recovery residences. The project will offer safe, recovery-focused housing with street outreach and employment services designed to empower adults to break the cycle of chronic street homelessness, while addressing the impact of mental illness and substance use disorders. This project will complement the behavioral health and substance use disorder services offered by Temple University Hospital-Episcopal Campus, as well as the 60-bed Beacon House Opioid Respite Center operated by Prevention Point on the Episcopal Campus. 6ABC, WHYY and PhillyVoice provided news coverage.
