Nick J. Barcellona, MBA, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Temple University Health System, provided perspective for a Philadelphia Inquirer article on the new federal Hospital Price Transparency rule, which requires hospitals to publish prices for 300 “shoppable” services in a “consumer-friendly” format. “Shoppable” services are those that can be scheduled in advance. Katherine Levins, Vice President, Public Policy & Government Affairs for TUHS, and Richard Toner, AVP, Reimbursement & Payer Relations for TUHS, also offered their perspective for the article.
