Temple Health, Pennsylvania Senate Majority Leader Kim Ward and the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition (PBCC), along with additional sponsors State Senator Christine Tartaglione and State Representative Jason Dawkins, partnered for the Breast Cancer Screening and Women’s Health Community Event on Friday, April 1. The event included free health screenings for women as well as information about women’s health, smoking cessation, breast health, hypertension, diabetes, lung health, nutrition and colon cancer. Mammograms were offered inside the Fox Chase Cancer Center Mobile Screening Unit at no cost, with the PBCC providing $25 Walmart gift cards for all women getting their mammograms at the event.
