Maria Rodriguez, BSN, RN, a Nurse Navigator at Fox Chase Cancer Center at Temple University Hospital (TUH), was one of three finalists for the CURE Media Group’s 2020 Extraordinary Healer Award for Oncology Nursing. Maria was nominated by Laura Brinkley, BSN, RN-BC, OCN, at TUH, who noted Maria’s efforts to make Hispanic patients feel more included at the Center. Maria created the Center’s Feliz Navidad celebration and became certified in Spanish-language interpretation. CURE Today and Oncology Nursing News highlighted the recognition.
