Will Parks, starting safety for the NFL’s Denver Broncos and Philadelphia native, spoke to students at Simon Gratz and Martin Luther King high schools on March 29. He was joined by his mother, Nyerere Parks, as well as by Philadelphia CeaseFire Director Marla Davis-Bellamy, JD, MGA, and Hospital Responder Colwin Williams. Will chose the anti-violence program based in the Lewis Katz School of Medicine’s Center for Bioethics, Urban Health and Policy, for the NFL’s three-week “My Cause, My Cleats” campaign and has donated money to the program. CBS3, PhillyVoice and KYW Newsradio covered his visit.
