The Philadelphia Inquirer highlighted Philadelphia CeaseFire, a public health violence intervention program based in the Lewis Katz School of Medicine’s Center for Bioethics, Urban Health and Policy, in an article about seeking solutions to gun violence in the city. The piece described the important role of the program’s “violence interrupters.” Philadelphia CeaseFire is one of the national replication sites of the Cure Violence public health model.
