Philadelphia Inquirer columnist Helen Ubiñas recognized the work of Scott Charles, Trauma Outreach Manager, and Trauma Victim Support Advocates Leslie Ramirez, Sadiqa Lucas, Rose King and Ian Hirst-Hermans in her inaugural “Philadelphia’s People of the Year” list. Earlier in 2021, Scott Charles and the advocates were featured in a Q&A with the Inquirer that highlighted the support they offer to patients and family members who come through Temple University Hospital’s emergency department doors.
