Robert Warner, Director of Philadelphia CureViolence, a public health violence intervention program based in the Lewis Katz School of Medicine’s Center for Bioethics, Urban Health and Policy, spoke with student-athletes from Simon Gratz High School following the shootings that occurred outside their football stadium during a game on September 20. The Philadelphia Inquirer and Philadelphia Tribune featured Mr. Warner’s comments and Philadelphia CureViolence’s work with the community in their stories. Also, Colwin Williams, an outreach worker with Philadelphia CureViolence, joined TUTV’s “A Broader View” for their episode on gun violence.
