Temple Health hosted a ribbon cutting and dedication of the W. Gresham O’Malley III Emergency Department at Temple University Hospital-Episcopal Campus on June 7th. The newly expanded ED will significantly enhance access to Temple Health’s high-quality care by adding 10 treatment bays – enlarging the capacity to 29 bays. The event also recognized the ongoing project to triple the size of the TUH-Episcopal Campus Crisis Response Center – the new center is expected to open in November 2024 – and celebrated the recent opening of a new Substance Use Disorder Clinic at TUH-Episcopal Campus. The Philadelphia Inquirer spoke with John Robison, Episcopal’s Executive Director; L.J. Rasi, Episcopal’s Director of Behavioral Health; and Yvette Valiente, Episcopal’s Senior Director of Facility Services. PhillyVoice interviewed L.J. Rasi, Yvette Valiente and Patrick Vulgamore, Director of Temple Health’s Addiction Medicine Service Line. NBC10 was also on hand for the event.
