Philadelphia Inquirer Publishes Narrative Essays from Temple Health Physicians

The Philadelphia Inquirer printed the first-, second- and third-place essays from the first Temple Health Writing Contest. Fourteen doctors and medical students from Temple University Hospital (TUH), Fox Chase Cancer Center and the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University (LKSOM) crafted submissions on the theme, “Moments That Stay with You.” The top three finishers, in order, were Erin R. Narewski, DO, FCCP, Assistant Professor of Thoracic Medicine and Surgery at LKSOM, Core Faculty in the Medicine Residency Program at TUH and Unit-Based Medical Director of 6 East at TUH; Molly E. Collins, MD, Director of Medical Education in the Pain and Palliative Care Program and Assistant Professor in the Department of Hematology/Oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center; and Shane Coughlin, MD, Emergency Medicine Resident at TUH.
