Deborah L. Crabbe, MD, FACC, FAHA, Professor of Medicine at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, was featured in an article by the Philadelphia Tribune, which highlighted that she will be presented with the Dr. Edward S. Cooper Award during the American Heart Association’s 65th Annual Philadelphia Heart Ball and that she will serve as the project lead for a $35,000 funding award from the Edna Kynett Foundation. The funding award will start a pilot program which provides mentorship and research training experiences to medical trainees from under-represented minority groups focused on racial/sex-specific cardiovascular disease disparities in COVID-19.
