A PhillyVoice article provided continuing coverage of Philadelphia-area health systems (including Temple Health) and their efforts to mitigate any supply chain impact following damage to a major manufacturing plant for intravenous (IV) fluids by Hurricane Helene. The majority of Temple Health’s campuses use IV fluid products from a different manufacturer. Temple Health – Chestnut Hill Hospital is a customer of Baxter, the damaged manufacturing plant, and is meeting three times weekly and closely monitoring its inventory of IV fluids.
