The Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University is hosting a two-hour re-entry simulation, an event designed to help provide participants with an understanding of the challenges faced by people returning home from prison. The event is sponsored by the Center for Urban Bioethics at the Katz School of Medicine, Temple’s Department of Anesthesiology, the Inside-Out Center at Temple University and the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. This will be the first re-entry simulation to be held at a Philadelphia health care institution. PhillyVoice interviewed Valerie Armstead, MD, FAAP, DABA, Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology at the Katz School of Medicine, ahead of the event on May 6th.
