Ross, MD, FACS, FASCRS, Professor of Clinical Surgery and Program Director of the General Surgery Residency Program at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and Chief of the Division of Colorectal Surgery and Surgical Director of the Digestive Disease Center at Temple University Hospital, provided perspective to Reuters Health about new research published in Science Immunology about cells that may be responsible for persistent inflammation seen in ulcerative colitis.
