The Temple Lung Center, in collaboration with the Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD), hosted the Sixth Annual 2021 GOLD International COPD Conference on Tuesday, November 16th. The one-day, virtual conference featured the most recent GOLD strategies on the diagnosis, management and treatment of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Gerard J. Criner, MD, FACP, FACCP, Chair and Professor of Thoracic Medicine and Surgery at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and Director of the Temple Lung Center, was the conference chair and participated in the session, “The Definition of a COPD Exacerbation.” 6ABC featured coverage from the event on its noon newscast.
