A Temple research team led by Sara Jane Ward, PhD, Assistant Professor of Pharmacology at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, recently was awarded a grant by the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH), part of the National Institutes of Health. The grant will be used to evaluate the effects of four biologically active components of cannabis that may act together to protect against pain development, and to assess the interactions of those four substances with morphine.
