Temple University Health System was featured in a Modern Healthcare article about charity care. TUHS led all of the analyzed medium-sized health care systems in charity care as a percentage of operating expenses in 2021 and 2020. The article noted the work of Temple's financial counseling department, which conducts outreach in marginalized communities to inform residents about resources available to them.
