Temple University Hospital’s Acres of Diamonds Gala Attracts Media Attention

Temple University Hospital’s 66th Annual Acres of Diamonds Gala was held on May 11 at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown. Boyz II Men headlined the fundraising event, which raised $1.5 million this year, its largest total to date. Amy J. Goldberg, MD, FACS, George S. Peters, MD and Louise C. Peters Chair and Professor of Surgery at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and Surgeon-in-Chief of Temple University Health System, received this year’s Diamond Award. CBS3, 6ABC and NBC10 aired coverage on their 11 o’clock Saturday night broadcasts, and the latter two did on their Sunday morning shows as well. CBS3 and PhillyVoice also shared photos from the evening.
