6ABC highlighted the story of patient Donte Weems, whose doctors in Washington, D.C. diagnosed him with chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension, or CTEPH, and referred him to Temple University Hospital (TUH). The segment featured Paul Forfia, MD, Co-Director of the Pulmonary Hypertension, Right Heart Failure & CTEPH Program at TUH and Professor of Medicine at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University (LKSOM), who described the specialized treatment that Donte received at Temple. Temple Health and 6ABC-TV also collaborated on a sponsored segment about CTEPH which featured Anjali Vaidya, MD, FACC, FASE, FACP, Co-Director of the Pulmonary Hypertension, Right Heart Failure and CTEPH Program and Associate Program Director of the Cardiology Fellowship at TUH and Associate Professor of Medicine at LKSOM; Dr. Forfia; and patient Tara Cottee.
